Strategy for Let it Ride Poker

The strategy for Let it Ride poker is one of the easiest of all the casino games to learn. And it is very important to play any casino game to the best of your Let It Ride Strategy abilities in order to make your bankroll last as long as you can.

Even though Let it Ride poker is also known as Let Em Ride Poker and Poker Ride, they are all played basically the same. The actual name and game "Let It Ride" was created and is owned by Shuffle Master, which is involved in developing and selling card shufflers, casino table games and slot machines. You can use this strategy for all of them.

Let it Ride Poker 3 Card Strategy

When you receive your first 3 cards, you should leave your second bet in or make the first raise (depending on the version of Let it Ride you are playing) with the following three card hands.

3 cards to a straight flush, only when at least 2 out of the 3 cards are from the Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace.

3 cards to a straight flush with only 1 gap (for example 7, 8, 10) and at least one of the cards Ten or higher. The only hands that qualify here are 7-8-10, 7-9-10 and 8-9-J.

3 suited connectors (cards in sequential order like 5-6-7 or 7-8-9) except A-2-3 and 2-3-4.

3 cards to a royal flush.

Any hand that is a pair of Tens or better.

On any other 3 card combination in Let it Ride, either pull your second bet back or do not make the second bet.

Let it Ride 4 Card Strategy

Once your fourth card is revealed or dealt, it does not matter how you played the first 3 Let it Ride cards. Leave your last. or third, bet in or raise on any of the following 4 card hands.

4 cards to a gutshot or inside straight if all four cards are 10 or higher.

4 cards to any open end straight.

4 cards to a flush.

Any hand that is a pair of 10's or better.

Let it Ride Strategy Notes

The Let it Ride strategies listed on this page are based on the most common pay table, which offers the casino roughly a 3.5% house edge. If you are playing a table that offers different pay outs, the strategy may need adjusted slightly, but for the most part if you use these strategies you will be doing the best you are able.

Never play the side various side bets that are offered at different casinos. They always significantly raise the house edge, no matter how good they may look. The only possible exception to this is if there is a progressive jackpot that has risen higher than the return ratio compared to the odds of being dealt the progressive hand, which is usually a royal flush.
