How to Play Let It Ride Poker

Learning how to play Let it Ride poker is very easy. As a matter of fact, Let it Ride is one of the easiest casino games to play, and play well. There are two different variations, both played exactly the same except the order in which the bets or raises are placed. I will cover both here.

When you play Let it Ride, or Let em Ride poker, you do not play against other players, you compete against the house and are paid based on your final hand and the number of bets you have on the table at the end of the hand.

In the first variation of Let it Ride poker, you place 3 equal sized bets and receive three cards. At this time you may either leave the second of the 3 bets on the table or take it back off the table. You then receive a fourth card and may leave or take back the third bet. The fifth and final card is dealt or turned over and you either lose all of your bets or are paid based on the posted pay table for a winning hand.

In the other popular Let it Ride variation, you place a single bet at the beginning of the hand and receive your first 3 cards. You may place a second bet, called a raise, at this time. Then you are dealt the fourth card and you have the option to place a final bet or raise. The rest of the hand plays the same as the above variation.

Depending on the house rules of the casino where you are playing Let it Ride poker, you may have the option to place a side bet. This side bet may be for a progressive jackpot or a 3 card poker hand or a flush or better hand or some variation. The rules for this side action should be clearly displayed, but be warned, these side wagers tend to increase the houses advantage by quite a bit.
